Compliance Notes
Attach private compliance notes to any saved entity to document your review, decisions, and follow-up actions.
What are compliance notes?
Compliance notes are private, free-form text notes you can attach to any saved entity. They are only visible to your account and are never shared or published. Notes are designed to support your internal documentation workflow — capturing reviewer decisions, match analysis, follow-up actions, and approval records.
Example uses:
- "Match reviewed by J. Smith on 4/14/2026. Confirmed false positive — different country of operation."
- "Entity cleared after legal review. Escalated to VP of Compliance. Approval on file."
- "Re-screen scheduled for Q2 2026."
- "Customer onboarding blocked — confirmed SDN match. Transaction declined."
Adding a note
- Go to Dashboard → Saved Profiles
- Find the entity you want to annotate
- Click Add Note
- Type your note in the rich text editor
- Click Save Note
The note will appear below the entity details, timestamped with the date and time it was created. Multiple notes can be added to the same entity.
Editing a note
To edit an existing note, find the note on the Saved Profiles page and click the Edit button next to it. Make your changes in the editor and click Save to update it.
Deleting a note
To delete a note, click the Delete button next to it. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Important
Deleting a compliance note removes it from your account permanently. If you use notes as part of your audit documentation, export or record them externally before deleting.
Notes and PDF reports
Compliance notes are not currently included in PDF compliance reports. Reports contain the screening data from the government lists. If you need to include notes in audit documentation, copy them into your compliance management system or export them manually.
Notes and account deletion
Compliance notes are stored with your account. If you delete your TradeLasso account, all saved profiles and their associated notes are permanently deleted. See our Privacy Policy for data retention details.
