Re-screening & Removing

Government lists are updated daily. Learn how to re-screen saved entities against the latest data and how to remove profiles you no longer need.

Why re-screen?

The U.S. Consolidated Screening List is updated frequently — new entities are added, existing entries are modified, and some are removed. An entity that was clean when you first screened them may subsequently be added to the SDN list or BIS Entity List.

Good compliance practice includes periodic re-screening of existing customers, suppliers, and business partners — not just screening at onboarding. The frequency of re-screening should reflect your risk assessment, but many compliance programs require at minimum:

  • Re-screening at each new transaction or shipment
  • Periodic re-screening (quarterly or annually) for ongoing relationships
  • Immediate re-screening when a sanctions event or news article flags a counterparty

How to re-screen a saved entity

To run a fresh screening against the current list data for any saved entity:

  1. Go to Dashboard → Saved Profiles
  2. Find the entity you want to re-screen
  3. Click View Details to open the full entity record
  4. From the details view, navigate to the RPS Tool and search for the entity name again to run a fresh check against the latest data

Note

Each re-screening is a new search and will count toward your monthly search usage on Free plans. Pro plans have unlimited searches.

Checking when an entity was last screened

The date shown on each saved profile card is the date the entity was originally saved to your profiles. To see all searches you have run for a given name, check your Search History (Pro plans only).

Removing a saved profile

If you no longer need to monitor an entity, remove it from your Saved Profiles to keep your list clean:

  1. Go to Dashboard → Saved Profiles
  2. Find the profile you want to remove
  3. Click the Remove (trash icon) button on the profile card
  4. The profile is immediately and permanently removed

Important

Removing a saved profile also permanently deletes all compliance notes attached to it. If these notes are part of your compliance documentation, export or record them before removing the profile.
