Teams & Collaboration
Collaborate with your team on compliance screening and management.
What are teams?
Teams allow multiple users to collaborate on compliance screening within a single TradeLasso account. Share screening history, saved profiles, batch jobs, and compliance reports with your team while maintaining appropriate access controls.
Team features include:
- Invite team members via email
- Assign roles (Admin or Member) with different permissions
- Shared access to screening history and saved profiles
- Collaborative compliance workflows
- Centralized billing and subscription management
Note
Teams are available on Essential, Advanced, and Complete plans. Essential includes up to 3 seats, Advanced includes up to 10 seats, and Complete includes unlimited seats.
Team roles
TradeLasso supports two team roles:
Admin
Admins have full access to all features and can:
- Invite and remove team members
- Change member roles
- Manage subscription and billing
- Configure team settings and integrations
- Access all screening history and saved profiles
- Create and manage watchlist monitors
- Generate compliance certificates and reports
- Manage API keys and webhooks
Member
Members have access to core screening features but cannot:
- Can do:
- Run screenings and batch jobs
- View and save profiles
- Generate PDF reports
- View team screening history
- Add notes to profiles
- Cannot do:
- Invite or remove team members
- Change subscription or billing
- Manage API keys or webhooks
- Delete team screening history
- Configure team settings
Creating a team
To create a team, go to Dashboard → Team:
- Click "Create Team"
- Enter a team name (e.g., "Acme Corp Compliance Team")
- Click "Create" to set up your team
You'll automatically become the team owner (a special admin role) and can start inviting members.
Note
Each user can only belong to one team at a time. If you're invited to a new team, you'll need to leave your current team first.
Inviting team members
To invite someone to your team (admins only):
- Go to Dashboard → Team
- Click "Invite Member"
- Enter their email address
- Select their role (Admin or Member)
- Click "Send Invitation"
The invitee will receive an email with an invitation link. They'll need to:
- Click the invitation link
- Sign up for a TradeLasso account (if they don't have one)
- Accept the invitation to join your team
Invitation expiry
Team invitations expire after 7 days. If an invitation expires, you'll need to send a new one.
Managing team members
View and manage your team in Dashboard → Team:
Changing roles
Admins can change a member's role:
- Find the member in your team list
- Click the role dropdown next to their name
- Select "Admin" or "Member"
- Confirm the change
Removing members
Admins can remove team members:
- Find the member in your team list
- Click "Remove" next to their name
- Confirm the removal
Removed members will immediately lose access to the team's screening history and saved profiles. Their individual account remains active.
Important
The team owner cannot be removed or have their role changed. To transfer ownership, contact TradeLasso support.
Leaving a team
If you want to leave a team:
- Go to Dashboard → Team
- Click "Leave Team"
- Confirm you want to leave
After leaving, you'll lose access to the team's screening history and saved profiles. Your individual account will remain active.

Shared resources
When you're part of a team, the following resources are shared:
Screening history
- All team members can view screenings performed by any team member
- Screening history shows who performed each screening
- Members cannot delete screening history (admins only)
Saved profiles
- All saved profiles are shared across the team
- Any team member can add notes to profiles
- Profile activity log shows who made changes
Batch jobs
- All team members can view and download batch results
- Batch job history shows who uploaded each file
Watchlist monitors (Advanced/Complete)
- Monitors are shared across the team
- All admins can manage monitors and entities
- Monitoring alerts are sent to all admins
API keys (admins only)
- API keys are team-wide and count against team limits
- Only admins can create, view, or revoke API keys
- API usage counts toward team screening limits
Usage and billing
Team usage and billing work as follows:
- Shared limits — All team members share the same monthly screening limit
- Single subscription — The team has one subscription that covers all members
- Admin billing — Only admins can view and manage subscription and billing
- Usage tracking — View team-wide usage in Usage & Limits
Best practices
- Use descriptive team names — Choose a name that clearly identifies your organization
- Assign roles appropriately — Give admin access only to users who need to manage the team
- Review members regularly — Remove members who no longer need access
- Use profile notes — Document decisions and add context for other team members
- Monitor usage — Track team usage to ensure you're not approaching limits
- Set up notifications — Configure email notifications for important events
Troubleshooting
Can't invite more members
If you've reached your team seat limit, you'll need to either remove existing members or upgrade to a plan with more seats.
Invitation not received
If an invitee didn't receive the invitation email:
- Check their spam/junk folder
- Verify you entered the correct email address
- Resend the invitation from the team page
- Contact support if the issue persists
Can't accept invitation
If you're having trouble accepting an invitation:
- Make sure you're not already part of another team (leave it first)
- Check that the invitation hasn't expired (7 days)
- Try using an incognito/private browser window
- Contact the team admin to resend the invitation
